Birthday FUN!

We celebrated 2 birthdays in the past week. Elena turned 9 and Maysa turned 2. Maysa went to build a bear and created a stuffed animal. It is a pink monkey. We call it Pinky Monkey and she is quite protective of it. Elena went to IHOP and movie theater and Claire's for earrings with her 2 best friends. We watched "Coraline" which I wouldn't recommend for kids as it was quite scary and had some mature stuff in it. Should have gone to Pink Panther instead!

Grandma fun

We had such a fun visit with Grandma Lene this week. The kids were so sad to see her go. She cleaned my house everyday and took the kids out for movies and toys and icecream every night she was here. Sierra started misbehaving really badly at school one day because she thought if she was bad enough her teacher would have to send her home, then she could spend more time with Grama Lene! We went hiking and bike riding and all sorts of things. Wish she could have stayed much longer. We'll miss you, thanks for visiting us!

More fun and Relatives...

My grandma came to visit me this week, I wish she would have stayed way longer. She would murdalize me if she knew I put her picture on public internet -so shush, don't tell.....

We went hiking at Picacho with my favorite cousin Maria. We have been writing to eachother since we were 9 years old and now we are so happy and privileged to live within an hours drive of eachother. Maria is my grandma's grand niece, so we all had a delightful afternoon.

I love the natural desert setting, to me it is one of the most beautiful landscapes.

The children's cave at Picacho is a cute little hike, our two year old's thought it was great.

Daddy's little girl, she always says she likes Dad better than Mom.

Korben is a little shy but he did manage a little smile.... He had fun playing with Maysa.

Took the kids puddle splashing after the big rains on Friday. They were in their glory, I kind of wanted to get in too.
