Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody! The kids woke me up at 6 am and we went on a easter egg hunt. They are still wolfing candies as we speak. All sorts of fun goodies and hopefully we won't need to make another trip to the dentist next month!
We went to the Family Easter fair in Casa Grande and had such a fun time. The kids went on egg hunts and were quite thrilled with the results. I am told this year turned out much better than last because no so many people were there as it was kind of rainy and cold.
Maysa wouldn't go anywhere near the Easter bunny dude. She was right freaked out, but the other 2 sat nervously for their picture, as long as they didn't have to touch him, what is it with my kids!

We ended up eating the eggs that we painted, Maysa stole Elena's so she ate two of them.

Dan's Birthday

Dan turned 33, so of course I made his favorite- german chocolate cake. I was on a no sugar diet but eventually caved in and ate some too. Who could resist?!!

Our good friends from Canada "Grandpa David and Grandma Wilma" came to stay with us for a couple days. We took them to Picacho and they loved it! They also spoiled the kids and I got to take them to the Easter pageant, we ended up sitting real close and of course that was a fabulous experience. Dang it, I just noticed the wrong date on our pictures again!! Seriously, I am getting a new camera......

Minky Monkeys

Sierra learned how to do monkey bars and she was so proud of herself, we were too! Maysa also thought she could do it too. I named this post "minky monkey" because that is what Maysa calls her little stuffed monkey that we got from build a bear.

One year ago....

I'm not sure why I am posting this, but it is fun to reminisce how much our lives can change. Well, this is not a trick or exxageration. This was my van stuck in the snow April 15, 2008 in Edmonton Alberta, Canada almost exactly one year ago. I cannot even believe how much my life has changed in one year. (I had to shovel all that out, then my neighbor came along later in the day and parked his big fat truck right in the nice little spot I had carved.) I am so glad to be out of that place. I love Arizona and everything it has to offer. I feel like it is a little slice of heaven on earth. I will never be cold again! Wahoo!
