The Zoo........ Again....

I could never get enough of the zoo. We have a pass and go every holiday. The girls complain and say, What! We're going to the zoo again, the zoo is boring!" But they always have so much fun and we always do something different every time we go. And what about all the test subjects for my new camera.... ?!
THis poor little goat was hiding under a barrel when Jayden was desperatley trying to pet him. My theory is this: when a poor little goat at a petting zoo gets pinched, poked, prodded, kicked, slapped and hit day after day after day, by hundreds of kids, every minute of the day, the poor little goat reverts to hiding in barrels... can you blame him. :)
I love this little fountain in the "Forest of Uco". When the kids were splashing around another little 2 yr old from a nearby group came by and stuck his hand in. His mom came running quick and say "No no, we don't put our hands in the yucky water." And here I was standing there taking pictures. Didn't exactly feel like the mom of the year, but I like to think I have thick skin. In one ear, out the other!

Isn't this a pretty door!
These next pictures are compliments of Sierra, she simply begged and begged to handle my new camera so I let her have a go at it.
Good job Sierra!, ELena did not like her picture, but we teased her that she was striking a model pose... ha ha

We finished off the day at stingray bay and of course our traditional ride on the carosel. SIerra and Maysa beg and beg every time we go to the zoo to ride the carosel. It makes them so joyous, I just have to give in... :)
These stingrays are so much fun, the girls would stay and pet them for hours if I'd let them.

Some randomness

I threw a party for my dear friend in the ward who turned 90 on election day. We had a great turnout, lots of support and love from our ward. Sister Reilly is a real character, her daughter is also shown in these pictures. Sister Reilly makes me laugh out loud every time I visit her. She has told me a few times, even before she met my twins that she has a special connection with them. When she was in the hospital a few years ago, she swore there were young twin boys in the room with her. Everyone thought she was nuts, but she said, they were there to comfort her. So when she met my twins she was sure they were the ones. I laughed alot when she told me that, but who knows! The Lord has mysterious ways of connecting people and coincidences. She also told me to make sure nobody cremates her body when she dies... because that is the same as burning in hell,,, she told me. ANd she was so serious. I just laugh, she is so funny.

And here are my little angels in action.... a very common site in our house

THey looked so cute for church the other day. We tried so hard to get a picture out front but they refused to look at us and Dan had them up on a high ledge, so I think they were scared. Well, if only they would look at the camera just for a second!

Halloween 2012

Boy am I glad Halloween is over with, before it even came we were all partied out. Trunk r treat on Friday night, adult dress up party the next night and trick r treating the following wednesday. It was too much, literally. We let the kids indulge all they wanted, then it was pretty much gone or chucked within a couple days. Candy never lasts long around this house. I just wanted it out of the house as soon as possible. I don't mean to be so negative, but am I the only one who agrees that halloween is the most pointless and meaningless holiday. I have to admit though, it is fun to dress up the kids and see everyone's costumes but when it is over I am always so glad! Thank goodness it only comes around once a year!

These outfits were supposed to be a bit more manly. They are ninjas in case you can't tell. You know with the puff sleeves and all. Oh well, they can pull off just about anything, they are so sweet!

THese photos were taken on ward trunk r treat night. It was fun with games and chili and lots of treats. My chili won for the most colorful. Dan was so mad at me for putting corn in and said that no one would eat it. BUt if I hadn't, then I wouldn't be able to brag about my prize winning chili now would I!
Elena and her best friend Rebecca.
And on halloween night, Maysa decided to be Minnie Mouse instead of a witch. Dan took the kids out for 2 hours at least. Waaaaaaaay too much candy! We had around 3 or 400 trick or treaters, alot of them teenagers. My next door neighbor refused to give candy to them, which I thought was a little extreme. Afterall they are not out spraying grafitti and breaking glass.!

Definetly glad its over with, now looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Camera Happy

Testing out my new camera at the playground. I know I shouldn't take pictures with early morning shadows, but I am still learning so much about my new camera. I've been having so much fun experimenting especially on my sweet little test subjects!
