Picacho, Grapefruits and Violin

Of my 30th birthday goals was to climb to the top of a mountain and play my fiddle. As some of you may know that music and nature coincide like salt and pepper. (Seriously showing off there, and I'm not even good!) So I didn't quite make it to the top and my knees were shaking so badly. It was fun anyhow. We went to my friends farm to pick grapefruits the size of honeydews first and that was really a blast. I'm going to be juicing them. I love the Arizona mountains, they are nice and bald which makes for easy climbing.

30th Birthday Bash

Do I feel Thirty flirty and thriving? More like 30 shmerty and children crying! Doesn't mean that I can't live it up for my party week. This is Dan's new ride that he bought for our second vehicle. Nice and smooth but ridiculous for a family of 5!! I guess thats my birthday surprise@!

Eva's Mexican food- really fabulous. Lots of pigging out this week.

Lots of fun with friends this week. Jocey and
Jesse, Jared and Melanie and Olive garden with
my visiting teaching group.

Our friends took us to the Cheesecake Factory and water lights show at the Chandler mall. The food was WAY too good. Never mind that I've gained ten pounds since we've moved here, whoopdeedoo with Tiramasu cheesecake!

Swan Lake

We spent a day in Phoenix at a little park called Encanto Park. It is still sort of hot for this time of year but we like that. This park has a little island with a train and amusement park in the middle. Lots of trails and fun stuff. The park setting with mature palm trees and a lake with real swans swimming around makes things real beautiful.

Ordinary life

It’s not that unusual When everything is beautiful. It’s just another ordinary miracle today. It seems so exceptional That things just work out after all. It’s just another ordinary miracle today. Who says it better than Sarah M?

Dan, Dan he's my man. Dan is the truck drivin husband. His sole purpose in life is to make his family happy. What a handsome dude. He gets 10/10.

Elena is photogenic. She's always the first to jump in front of the camera which is really a great thing. She is in grade 3 this year and making a ton of friends as usual. She has been in 4 different schools since preschool.

Oh, Sierra is so funny. Her cute little smile brings sunshine in the room. Now if only she would let me teach her to play that nice little instrument she got for her 5th birthday.

Maysa is our sweet walking disaster. Wherever she goes, so does the mess. When I finish cleaning one disaster, I'm right on to the next. Eating crayons, spilling milk, ripping apart my wallet. Oh she is a doll. I get to spend all day with her while Elena and Sierra go to school. I am spoiled!
